Poets are given to mankind to say the things we want to say in ways we can’t say them.
Many things were planned for this space this week.
We were going to discuss favorite things from the past.
Or dive into the philosophy behind sports.
Or…well, it doesn’t matter.
It doesn’t matter because this thought struck me last night: people are lonely. People want to give up. People are giving up.
Words failed me as I attempted to write something to address the loneliness blanketing mankind.
Then, I found this video, and, well, it says all I want to say in way I could never say it.
So, for the lonely souls out there today and tomorrow and next year, here is Coldplay with their moving song, “Fix You.”
